Goethe-Institut Bangladesh will screen Bangladeshi film-maker Humaira Bilkis’ documentary “Bagania - Garden of Memories” at their auditorium in the capital’s Dhanmondi, on Thursday.
The event is a part of Goethe-Institut Bangladesh’s “Through Her Eyes - A Space to Watch and Discuss Films with Women Filmmakers of Bangladesh,” in collaboration with International Film Initiative of Bangladesh. There will be a screening of the 2018 documentary film, followed by a Q&A session with its director, Humaira Bilkis.
The 66-minute-long documentary is her debut film; it is based on her long-term relationship with the migrated tea plantation workers of North-East Bangladesh.
Currently, she is working on her new documentary “Bilkis and Bilkis,” based on her relationship with her mother.
