Ozzy Osbourne, who had been delaying his European tour dates due to illness, was recently hospitalized, tweeted his wife Sharon Osbourne’s last Wednesday.
"As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu," Sharon wrote on the Tweet. "His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery."

A spokesperson for Ozzy announced on January 30, that after postponing the first four dates of his “No More Tours 2” because of the flu, a visit to the doctor revealed a diagnosis of a severe upper-respiratory infection. This resulted in the postponing of the tour's entire UK and European run.
Doctors fear that the infection could "develop into pneumonia given the physicality of the live performances, and the extensive travel schedule throughout Europe in harsh winter conditions."
Another spokesperson for Ozzy confirmed the news from Sharon's tweet at press meet, but said no further updates, regarding Ozzy’s health or possible future dates, were available.
Ozzy - who also had an infection in his hand in October 2018 - apologized to fans for pushing back the dates of his tour.
At the time Ozzy said: "I'm completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour. It just seems that since October, everything I touch has turned to crap. First the staph infection in my thumb, and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis.
“I want to apologize to all of my fans, who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew, and to Judas Priest, for letting you all down. However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It's being rescheduled right now to start in September. Again, I apologize to everyone."
The tour may restart from March 9 at the “Download Festival” in Sydney, Australia, though it was unclear at the most recent announcement, if that show could also be delayed due to the hospitalization.
