Popular jingle writer and composer Arafat Mohsin Nidhi is set to release his debut album titled “Thako.” The digital album, consisting four original tracks written, sung and composed by the artiste, will be released on February 15.

Nidhi, known in the industry for his iconic jingles for major international brands like Nescafe and Huawei, also wrote and produced music for numerous albums, telefilms, and feature films and now set to launch his debut album. The Dhaka Tribune’s Showtime recently asked the young musician about his new venture.

“I started writing these tracks since 2014 and finished them around 2015. I have been trying to compose them since then but I have always felt that this was very early for me as an artiste,”  said Nidhi.

“I used to perform these track in front of loved ones at different hangouts. Later on, in 2017, I started seriously working on their composition. As I work in the advert industry I always stay busy with different projects but I took one and a half months for myself at that time and completed composing all four tracks, as these were very close to me,” added Nidhi.

He added: “I have also been working on another album of mine titled ‘Ekjon Fan’, which is also complete. I am planning on to release it hopefully soon.”

Nidhi’s debut album “Thako” will go live on his website and major local and international music streaming platforms including iTunes, Google Play Music. The audio tracks will go live from February 15 followed by the official music videos of each track. The videos will be available on the official YouTube channel of 58Records, a record label owned by the artiste.

Earlier, he released the teaser of two tracks - “Odhora” and “Shono Na Tumi” of his upcoming album, from his Facebook profile on February 4.
