The first edition of the Campus Theatre Festival 2018 ended successfully on Sunday, December 9 at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The three-day-long festival featured 12 contemporary plays. The festival was organized by Bangla College Jubo Theatre in association with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, according to a recent press release.
On the last day of the festival Sylhet MC College’s “Rongmohal,” Chinair Bangabandhu College Natya Chakra’s “Jibito O Mrito,” and Bangla College Jubo Theatre’s “Oikko” were staged.
Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Director General and the festival’s Chief Advisor, Liaquat Ali Lucky, officially brought the festival to a close.
Campus Theatre has been actively working on theatre activism for the last 13 years with Notable cultural personality Liaquat Ali Lucky as its chief advisor and Habib Tarashi as the chief coordinator. At present the organization is actively working with theatre groups across 50 colleges in Bangladesh.
