The body of Ayub Bachchu will be taken to the Shaheed Minar on Friday to allow the public to pay their final respects for the legendary singer.
His body will be there from 10:30am until noon, cultural activist Nasir Uddin Yousuf said, reports Bangla Tribune.
“Bachchu has numerous fans across the country. His coffin will be taken to Shaheed Minar in the morning to allow the people to bid him farewell,” Yousuf said.
His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at the National Eidgah after Jum’a prayers. Bachchu’s body will be kept at the Square Hospital mortuary.
The musician will be laid to rest at his family’s graveyard in Chittagong on Saturday.
Bachchu – a legendary singer, guitarist, and songwriter – died on Thursday morning at the age of 60 in Dhaka.
