Aurthohin chalks out year-long activities to celebrate 20 years

Famous Bangladeshi hard rock and alternative metal band Aurthohin is celebrating their 20-year anniversary this year. Founded by Saidus Khaled Sumon, more commonly known as “Bassbaba,” in 1998, the band has chalked out an array of musical activities to celebrate their 20-year journey. Aurthohin's year-long musical enterprises will include release of two new albums along with a special rendition of “Cancer er Nishikabyo,” the band's last album which was released in 2016. The latest rendition of the album will be released in March featuring two new tracks. Much to the delight of their aficionados, Aurthohin will also release an unplugged album in May. Starting from January, the rock troupe will release one new Aurthohin track each month till May, Sumon confirmed. Aside from the band projects, the frotman of the band, Sumon, will also voice a few singles and duets with other artists from local music scene. The celebration has already kicked off with Sumon releasing “Oniyomer Gaan,” a duet song with Furti as his co-artist, on January 17, which will be followed by two other duet tracks of “Bassbaba” with Anila and Juhi.
