Six years after releasing its previous album, “Cancer er Nishikabyo,” Aurthohin, an eminent Bangladeshi rock and alternative metal band, released its new album, “Phoenix er Diary- 1.” The music video for the first song of the album- “Amar e Gaan” (This song of mine), premiered at the BTI Landmark Samsung Showroom, Gulshan, on November 15.
After being inactive for four years in the band music scenario, "Aurthohin" recently took off again. Aside from attending concerts, “Aurthohin” just released its new music video on YouTube and other music streaming platforms.
"Aurthohin" did not release any song in these years due to the health issues of the leading man behind the band, Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon, known as "Bassbaba," to the music enthusiasts. This maestro bassist and vocalist had been fighting cancer for years.
"By the grace of almighty, I don't have cancer anymore," Sumon said at the event. "The new song by the band is a gesture of gratitude toward the fans who patiently kept supporting us through the hard times."
"Phoenix er Diary- 1" will consist of 8 songs that are going to be released sequentially. "Amar e Gaan" is the first song among them.
Band members of "Aurthohin," music video director Ashfaq Bipul and the vocalist of "Cryptic Fate," Shakib Chowdhury were present at the exclusive premiere event arranged by Samsung. 20 Winners of a contest conducted on Facebook got the opportunity to attend the premiere of the music video with the band members during the event.
