Charlie Sheen sues magazine over alleged sexual assault

Update : 10 Dec 2017, 09:54 PM
“Hot Shots” actor Charlie Sheen has sued American supermarket tabloid National Enquirer for reportedly defaming him, which alleged that he has sexually assaulted teen actor Corey Haim. Tagging the tabloid's allegations as "ridiculous" and "disgusting," Sheen lodged a file against the magazine on Friday in Los Angeles. In its November 8 edition, National Enquirer published a quote from actor Dominick Brascia, saying that Sheen had assaulted Haim when he was in his mid-teens, while Sheen was around 20. The “Two and a Half Man” star worked with Haim, who died in 2010, in the film "Lucas." Brascia also told the Enquirer that the assault came during the film's production. Through the lawsuit, Sheen is now seeking unspecified damages caused by the circulation of the news. American Media Inc, the parent company of the tabloid, said in a statement on Saturday that it looked "forward to litigating" the case and welcomed the chance to expose Sheen's "depravities."
