Much to the delight of the Bangladeshi fans of Sultan Suleiman, Deepto TV is set to air the sixth season of the popular dubbed TV series starting from Eid day. Episodes will air twice at 7.30pm and 10pm everyday, from Saturday to Thursday.
Written by Meral Okay and Yılmaz Şahin, the Turkish historical fiction television series is based on the life of Ottoman Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent, the longest-reigning Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, and his wife Hurrem Sultan, a slave girl who became a Sultan.
The series also focuses on the relationships among the members of the imperial household, especially romantic entanglements and rivalries. The main plot lines involve the animosity between Hurrem Sultan and Mahidevran Sultan, Hurrem’s rise as Suleiman’s favourite, her fall out with Suleiman after giving birth to a daughter and her eventual return to grace among other numerous sub-plots.
