On October 31, Halloween, OTT platform Deepto Play brings the web film “Bibhabori” with a horror story. Based on Anish Das Apu's short story "Moddhorater Khabar", the web film written and directed by Tito Rahman stars Sadia Ayman, Iresh Zaker, Fariha Shams Sheuti, Rosey Siddiqui and Rifah Najiba.
The story follows Neetu, a girl from a village who comes to the city to study. She has to manage sending money to her sick mother with the meager income from working as a baby sitter in a day care center. She even haS to stay in an old hostel at the end of the suburbs to save money. Then spooky things start happening at the hostel.
About the web film, Tito Rahman said, "Though there are works on mystery or paranormal activity in Bangladesh, there has been very little work on ghost stories. Our attempt was to do serious work on ghosts as it is done in foreign countries. You have to wake up in fear. Although our industry is not very good at dealing with ghost stories, in terms of budget, technology, makeup etc., we tried to do our best with what we had.”
