Thousands gathered at Bangabandhu National Stadium early morning on Thursday for International Day of Yoga 2018.

The Indian High Commission organized a mass yoga routine attended by around 5,000 people, sponsored by Lever Ayush u2013 a brand of Unilever Bangladesh | Syed Zakir Hossain

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader was present as the chief guest | Syed Zakir Hossain

In attendance were Indian High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla and US Ambassador Marcia Bernicat. The Indian high commissioner greeted the participants in Bangla and thanked them profusely for their enthusiasm | Syed Zakir Hossain

From the government, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, State Minister for Youth & Sports Biren Sikder and Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports Arif Khan Joy were also present at the event | Syed Zakir Hossain

The yoga session took place from 6am to 8am in the morning. Participants received a yoga mat, t-shirt, and various gifts | Syed Zakir Hossain
