While your editorial had the right of it with regard to Ms Thatcher’s tenacity, it ignored much of the harm she caused her nation, which will, unfortunately, be a major part of her legacy. Her years in office were marked by high inflation and high unemployment. If she had been a more compromising and astute politician, the situation may not have become as bad as it did.
