Teerondaz Natyadal, which its organiser Deepak Goswamee Suman calls a theatre troupe instead of a theatre group, is set to bring an open-air performance of “Ei Bangladesh Cheyechhilam” at TSC in Dhaka University campus, 12:01am on the February 21.
He said the “probhatferir natok” (a play to morning vigil of the language martyrs’ day ) would be six hour performance in front of the Raju Bhaskarja.
“The performance is complete teamwork, and uses the works by Humayun Azad, Nirmalendu Goon, Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah. The performances will also combine the patriotic songs. This narrative of the Bengal will be acted upon with special lighting effects,” Deepak said.
He also said a widely celebrated book by Humayun Azad inspired the title of the performance.
Depaak Goswami Suman said they believe plays can bring change to a society; the performance by our troupe is dedicated towards achieving this goal, also to bring change to the theatre as well.
