The ceremony was held at Hotel Radisson Blu, Chittagong.
AJM Nasir Uddin, mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, formally unveiled the device at a gala event. Ziauddin Chowdhury, sales director of Huawei Technologies Bangladesh Ltd, and other high officials of Huawei were present at the launching programme.
About the device, Ingmar Wang, director of Device Business at Huawei Technologies Bangladesh said: “The 'Huawei GR5 2017' follows the overwhelming customer demand for powerful budget smartphones which offers productivity, entertainment and superb photography experience with a premium dual camera. The device has the features of high-end smartphones and the price is kept at a reasonable level. It signifies our commitment towards the Bangladeshi market, which is a very important market for us.”
Pre-booking for GR5 2017 began on December 1 and will continue till December 15. During the pre-booking period, customer will also get some attractive gifts such as business backpacks, selfie sticks and 32GB SD cards. A six month EMI facility will also be provided. The device will retail at Tk21,900.
