Prof Rahim B Talukdar, a former director of Dhaka University’s IBA faculty, has passed away.
Talukdar died at Dhaka’s United Hospital at the age of 80 at 1:15am on Tuesday, said a statement.
IBA Director Prof Mohammad Abdul Momen in the statement expressed sadness and shock at the demise of the professor, and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
“We recall with profound respect and gratitude the significant contribution Prof Talukdar made not only to the development of IBA and its students, but also to the business schools through his leadership as vice chancellor and professor at different private universities,” read the statement.
“It is a great loss for the institute and the nation to lose such an eminent educationist.”
