Encyclopedia Womannica
When you think back on the history books of your early school days, you might remember tales of presidents, artists, inventors, popes, etc. filled your history books. If you think hard enough, you’ll also realize that most of these featured weavers of the global history yarn were mostly men. Recognizing this disparity, Jenny and Liz Kaplan started Encyclopedia Womannica to fill in the gaps where women are historically underrepresented. Each episode is a five-minute lesson on a brilliant woman you may not know, but most likely should.

Unladylike
Breaking taboos and raising important conversations, as its name suggests, this series, started in 2017 by Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervine hashes out subjects that antiquated might consider unrefined, crude, or even vulgar—but today, we just call that female.

Call Your Girlfriend
Ann Friedman and Aminatou Sow’s podcast for “long-distance besties everywhere” has gone the distance and landed itself on similar lists of must-hear podcasts everywhere. Hosted by British-American journalist Ashley Milne-Tyte, it delves into race, culture, glass ceilings, and women in the workplace. Thoughtful discussion, influential guests, and personal stories come together to illustrate why many women, though ambitious, don’t quite reach their full potential in their careers—and how the topic of motherhood influences that

Chuski Pop
This quirkily-named bi-monthly podcast is hosted by Sweety and Pappu, two Indian women ‘riding the fourth wave of feminism’. Each episode opens with a dialogue from the '80s that sets the tone of the podcast. Sweety and Pappu relate this to a current event or any experience they have had in recent times to begin a casual conversation — and you’re invited to join. Topics ranging from female friendship to personal hygiene are made relatable through personal narratives, and it is a refreshing take on big issues.
