Policemen work odd hours, spending often days or even weeks without interacting with their families. The policeman’s schedule tends to, disrupt, deeply personal activities.
A police constable from Uttar Pradesh in India filed for leave for all the right reasons in the best of manners, prompting the application to go viral on social media.
Som Singh, a constable with Uttar Pradesh police, reportedly sought a 30-day leave to “extend his family”, reports The Hush Post.
Equally amusing case was that the police station in-charge granted Som the leave saying that it was for “family development.”
His senior was so generous that he granted Som a leave for 45 days, instead of the 30-day leave he asked for.
The constable’s application promptly went viral on social media platforms right after Superintendent of Police (SP) N Kolanchi disclosed the reason for sanctioning the leave.
However, Som was unaware that the news of his leave application would be trending.
Senior police officers suggested Som submit another application to save himself from further embarrassment.
On top of that, SP Kolanchi said he had not received Som Singh’s leave application. He has ordered an internal probe regarding the amusing leave application, it was reported.
