How well can you know a country? The history? The culture?
The intangible facets of the country aside, how well do you know the physical aspects of Bangladesh? To be precise, its geography.
The 64 districts of Bangladesh are common knowledge, but their exact location is rather more difficult to pin down. In the age of rapidly accessible information, very few take up the burden of learning to remember the details.
Two friends – Imran Ahmed and Moniruzzaman Sunny – took umbrage at the thought of not being able to locate the districts of Bangladesh and put their heads and resources together to create GeoPuzzle, a jigsaw puzzle of the district map of Bangladesh.
The jigsaw puzzle is made with a CNC cutting machine and offers a serious challenge to anyone who tries their hand at it.The high-technology puzzle itself is a consummate representation of today’s Bangladesh. Developed with cutting-edge technology, innovated by two young entrepreneurs who each run successful businesses aside from PuzzleFun, it caters to the next generation who are at risk of growing up woefully unaware of simple facts about their country. It’s also a mind-bender for grown-ups who have forgotten their childhood geography lessons.
The concept of the puzzle was Imran’s brainchild, which he shared with Sunny, who had a spare CNC cutter lying around. After knocking heads for a while, the duo produced the GeoPuzzle of Bangladesh.
