The head of international Asia Pacific at HSBC, Jayant Rikhye is to arrive today and had planned to stay in Bangladesh for the next couple of days.
He is also the head of strategy and planning at HSBC Asia Pacific.
Jayant Rikhye will be meeting colleagues from Bangladesh and a number of key HSBC clients and stakeholders, said a press release.
The head of international Asia Pacific has direct responsibility for over 12 markets in Asia, comprising Bangladesh, Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mauritius, New Zealand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Jayant Rikhye joined the HSBC Group in 1989 in India.
