Dutch-Bangla Bank has signed two participation agreements with the Sustainable Finance Department (SFD) of Bangladesh Bank to access low cost credit facilities for its client under “Refinance Scheme for Green Factory Building & Green Industries” and “Refinance Scheme for the Development of ICT Sector”.
AKM Nurunnabi, director, Sustainable Finance Department, Bangladesh Bank and Md Ahteshamul Haque Khan, managing director & CEO of Dutch-Bangla Bank, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Other senior officials of both organizations were also present in the signing ceremony.
Refinance Scheme for Green Factory Building & Green Industries aims to promote construction of Green Factory and Green Building.
Constructing green infrastructures will create export competitiveness markets by attracting reputed buyers while also help reduce environmental pollution.
Total fund of Tk1,000 crore (revolving) has been allocated to the scheme.
However, an individual borrower will be eligible to get maximum loan for Tk100 crore at 5% interest.
Refinance Schemes for Development of ICT Sector is initiated to patronize entrepreneurs engaged in ICT Sector and subsectors which are now getting highest priority in the development plans of the government.
In addition, products and services produced in Bangladesh Hi-Tech parks/software technology park and Women entrepreneurs in ICT sector will be given priority under this scheme.
Total fund of Tk1,000 crore (revolving) has been allocated to the scheme.
An individual borrower will be eligible to get maximum loan for Tk50 crore at 4% interest.
