The two-day photo exhibition began on Monday, October 24, 2016, and showcased photographs taken and submitted by ULAB students. Hasan Saifuddin Chandan, eminent freelance photographer of Map Photo Agency, was the guest judge at the event.
Every year, ULAB organises a photo contest to encourage its students to be actively engage in this skill-based art. From the photographs submitted, judges select 12 photos for the yearly ULAB calendar. This year, students of different departments of ULAB submitted 47 photographs, and the 12 best photos will appear in ULAB’s 2017 calendar.
At the event, Juditha Ohlmacher, member, ULAB Board of Trustees, welcomed everyone to the prize giving ceremony, and Hasan Saifuddin Chandan and Professor Imran Rahman handed over the certificates and prizes to the winners.
Ekrim Hossain, student of BBA department, won the first prize for his photograph titled ‘Working is hardship’ while Shahrin Marzen Nipun, also a student of the BBA Department, won the second prize for his photograph titled ‘Anthelion’. Mofrad Hossain, student of MBA Department, won third prize for his photograph titled ‘Mysterious call’.
ULAB acting vice chancellor Professor Imran Rahman delivered the vote of thanks.
