The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited in Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Hong Kong, is organizing “Bangladesh Apparel Roadshow” in Hong Kong on October 28 at the Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong.

The initiative will bring together global buyers, sourcing partners and industry stakeholders to showcase Bangladesh’s evolving apparel manufacturing capabilities, including product diversification, technical apparel, innovation and sustainable manufacturing.

As one of the world’s leading apparel-exporting countries, Bangladesh continues to advance its position in the global value chain.

Against the backdrop of evolving global sourcing strategies and changing market dynamics, the roadshow will provide a platform to highlight the sector’s expanding capabilities and explore opportunities for deeper international trade and collaboration.

The program will feature presentations on Bangladesh’s apparel capabilities, discussions on the global retail outlook and emerging sourcing trends, a panel discussion, and an apparel showcase highlighting innovation and technical apparel.

Senior officials from the HSBC Hong Kong team including Oliver T Jones, head of global network banking, Hong Kong, amongst many others will participate in the discussions.

The event will facilitate engagement between international buyers and industry stakeholders, supporting dialogue on emerging opportunities, and the evolving requirements of global apparel supply chains.

Through its international network, global trade expertise and longstanding presence in Bangladesh, HSBC continues supporting businesses in navigating international markets and pursue cross-border growth opportunities.

The roadshow reflects the bank’s commitment to facilitating international business connections and supporting Bangladesh’s participation in global trade.

BGMEA, as the apex trade body representing Bangladesh’s apparel manufacturers and exporters, brings industry expertise and representation to the initiative.

The collaboration also underscores the importance of strengthening international engagement to support the sector’s diversification, competitiveness and long-term growth.

Md Mahbub ur Rahman, CEO, HSBC Bangladesh, and Mahmud Hasan Khan, president, BGMEA, will co-host the event.
