Gold prices in Bangladesh set a new record, with each bhori (11.66 grams) now priced at Tk99,144.
The Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (Bajus) decided this all-time high rate be implemented from Sunday.
The Bajus revealed the details in a press release on Saturday.
Due to the high volatility in pure gold prices on the domestic market, Bajus revised its gold prices.
To make up for the higher price of pure gold in the local market, the association raised prices of gold on March 18 to its previous historic high of Tk98,794 per bhori.
