Since 1974, the world cup has captivated football fans in Bangladesh. To watch this World Cup, take your family and friends out to these restaurants and cafes.

Burger king: The famous burger joint, a staple of the city's fast food industry since December 2016, can accommodate a large bunch of football fans well into the wee hours of the morning.

Food: While you watch, get the famous whopper, which has a cult following. Their signature hamburger is a flame-grilled beef patty with tomatoes, crunchy lettuce, and a spread of silky mayonnaise and ketchup. They also offer other types of classic burgers like cheeseburgers, as well as sides of nuggets and fries to round out the meal.

Where: Gulshan tower, plot 31, Gulshan North C/A, Dhaka 1212, H.No: 104, 104 Rd No. 11, Banani, Dhaka 1213 and Plot 43 (New), Ground Floor, Road No. 2A, Satmasjid Road, Dhaka 1209

Sparrows: A Fine-dining restaurant with a combination of Continental- European food, and has enviable outdoor seating where watching games is a little like a ritual in the evenings since their  opening in Jan 2021, with some space in the balcony and the rest dressed as a “free cage”, paying an ode to the name of the restaurant   on the rooftop, and formal indoor dining spaces

Food: They offer everything from grilled salmon to calamari to grilled chicken salad. We think the beef wellington is the best bet - which is a shareable plate of a rump steak, and beef prosciutto encased in a puff pastry, and is a gorgeous plate with a side of vegetables that comes together beautifully,  chicken sliders that are great for a side, or to much on as a snack.
