Like every year Evercare Hospital Dhaka, the country's first JCI-accredited hospital celebrated World Stroke Day this year as well.
According to a press release, this year the theme of Stroke Day is 'The Power of Saving #precioustime'.
Today (October 29) on the occasion of the day, Evercare Hospital Dhaka launched a progressive ‘Hyper Acute Stroke Care Unit' and arranged a press meeting for the launching announcement.
In this unit, skilled medical staff and experienced doctors will be available 24/7 to provide emergency care to stroke patients and this unit will provide thrombolytic therapy for hyperacute stroke patients followed by post-thrombolysis patient care under the direct supervision of an expert team.
The unit has dedicated beds for hyperacute stroke patients. Patients now can get advanced treatment for stroke from this unit.
Prof Dr Firoz Ahmed Quraishi, president of the Bangladesh Neurology Society, attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.
Professor Dr Abu Nasir Rizvi from the Neurology Department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) was a special guest.
Along with MD and CEO Dr Ratnadeep Chaskar, director of Medical Services Dr Arif Mahmud, Dr Khandker Mahbubar Rahman, senior consultant and coordinator of the Neurology Department at Evercare Hospital Dhaka and other consultants from the Neurology Department attended the inaugural ceremony.
