JaPa, however, sent two representatives – Presidium Member and Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud, and Special Assistant to the Chairman Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu – to the inaugural session of the two-day event at Suhrawardy Udyan.
Raushan left Dhaka to attend the 135th IPU Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland yesterday morning.
JaPa General Secretary Ruhul Amin Hawlader said there was no culture of attendance of any party president and secretary general in the councils.
On the other hand, Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) President Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury is attending the council.
