Krishak Sramik Janata League President Kader Siddiqui will contest in the by-elections in Narayanganj-5 constituency.
Abu Bakar Siddique, organising secretary of the party's Narayanganj district unit, bought nomination papers on behalf of Kader Siddiqui on Sunday afternoon.
The Krishak Sramik Janata League chief announced to contest in the by-polls at a workers' meeting of the party on Saturday night.
Earlier, Kader Siddiqui was disqualified in contesting the by-polls in his own constituency Tangail-8 on allegations of loan default.
Narayanganj-5 constituency fell vacant following the death of Jatiya Party lawmaker Nasim Osman on April 30.
The by-elections of Narayanganj-5 constituency will be held on June 26.
