Opposition Leader in parliament Rawshan Ershad yesterday said the recent sensational incident of abduction and seven-murder in Narayanganj is a diverse happening.
“About 16 crore people live in Bangladesh. In a densely populated country, such type of abductions and killing are isolated occurrence and everyone cannot be blamed for it.”
She made the remarks while coming out ending a meeting with a delegation of Chinese congress representatives at Hotel Sonargoan in the capital.
Rawshan continued that: “Abductions and murders should be stopped. The government is trying its best to check those. I hope the criminals involved in the Narayanganj incident will be punished soon.”
During the meeting, Rawshan discussed about the country’s garment sector, scholarships and other relevant issues with the Chinese delegation.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jun was also present in the meeting.
