Now the BNP has demanded a probe body headed by a former chief justice to unearth the mystery of the sensational Narayanganj abductions and killings.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, acting secretary general of the party, came up with the demand after placing wreaths at the party founder Ziaur Rahman’s grave.
“BNP will propose a three-member probe committee headed by a former chief justice to unearth the mystery of the Naryanganj killing,” Fakhrul said.
The party also criticized the government for inviting the family members of the victims of Narayangnaj killing at the prime minister’s office on the day of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s visit to Narayanganj.
The spokesperson of the party again questioned the necessity of RAB.
He said the government has been using the RAB in killing and abduction. “Questions raised among the people whether there is any necessity of RAB.”
The BNP leader again claimed that it has now become clear who are involved with the Narayanganj killing, however the government wants to hide it.
After Fakhrul's programme, party’s joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan headquarters said: “The committee should have to be formed by a former chief justice, a former cabinet secretary and a right activist.”
