Nur Hossain's expulsion recommended

Shiddhirganj thana unit Awami League has recommended the expulsion of its vice-president Nur Hossain, the prime suspect of Narayanganj seven-murder case.

The unit has sent the recommendation to the Narayanganj metropolitan unit of Awami League on Saturday afternoon, Mujibur Rahman, president of Siddhirganj thana Awami League, told the Dhaka Tribune.

The Siddhirganj thana unit's expulsion recommendation has come 10 days after the seven murders in Narayanganj.

They also recommended the expulsion of its general secretary Md Yeasin Mia.

Nur Hossain went into hiding after the abductions and killings of seven persons including Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Hossain.

On April 27, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Hossain and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker were abducted along with five people. Their bodies were found in the Shitalakhya river on April 30.

After the abduction, Nazrul's wife Selina Islam filed a case against Nur Hossain, vice-president of Siddhirganj thana AL unit, general secretary Hazi Yasin Yasin and four others, on April 28.
