The Election Commission has sent the copy of the affidavit of former secretary general of Jatiya Party (Ershad) and lawmaker Ruhul Amin Hawlader to the Anti-Corruption Commission.
The commission sent the certified affidavit copy of Hawlader as the ACC has started investigating the wealth of Hawlader, a senior official said.
Earlier, the ACC sent a letter to the EC seeking the copy of the affidavit of Ruhul Amin.
Ruhul Amin Hawlader contested from the Barisal 6 and Patuakhali 1 constituencies in the 9th and 10th parliamentary polls, respectively.
It is alleged that in the affidavit of the ninth parliamentary polls, he gave incorrect information about his educational background.
