Newly elected Awami League lawmaker from Tangail 8 constituency Anupam Shahjahan has taken oath on Monday at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury administered the oath at her office in the Jatiya Sangshad bhaban around 12 pm, an official release said.
Senior secretary of the Jatiya Sangsad M Ashraful Makbul moderated the oath taking ceremony.
Deputy Speaker of the JS M Fazley Rabbi Mia, Chief Whip of JS ASM Firoz, Whips M Atiur Rahman Atique, Iqbalur Rahim, M Shahab Uddin, president of the Standing Committee on Ministry of Communications M Ekabbar Hossain and lawmakers Amanur Rahman Khan Rana, M Sanwar Hossain and M Mamunur Rashid Kiron, among others, were present at the ceremony.
