BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has urged her party members to defy any possible hindrance coming in the way of the party's March for Democracy.
Khaleda made the urge in a video statement released hours after the denial of DMP’s permission.
“I am requesting you [party leaders and activists] to gather in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan office on December 29 wielding the national flag for establishing democracy in the month of independence,” said Khaleda.

She added: “I hope you all will join the ‘March for Democracy’ defying all barriers and obstacles.”
Addressing the party leaders and activists, Khaleda said: “I will be with you and will be with you always. If I cannot stand beside you, you will continue your movement till the step down of the government.”
Opposition leader Khaleda Zia on December 24 declared the march towards Dhaka with national flags to resist the “lopsided polls” slated for January 5.
