The newly-formed cabinet will uphold the consistency of the outgoing government, Minister Rashed Khan Menon said on Monday.
He made the statement after being sworn-in as a new minister to the cabinet that will oversee the national elections in January.
The main task of this cabinet will be to hold a free and fair elections and to help the Election Commission to this regard, he said.
“This election will be a challenge for the cabinet.”
The minister said efforts were on to resolve matters with the BNP and that the party will be welcomed should they decide to join the cabinet.
