JaPa urges govt to support Palestinians

The Jatiya Party chief GM Quader also announced that a nationwide protest would be held on Sunday

Jatiya Party Chairman Ghulam Muhammed Quader has called on the government to take a firm stance in support of the Palestinian people, urging immediate action in their interest.

Speaking at a solidarity rally on Friday afternoon at the party's central office in Kakrail, Quader said: “The government should stand by the Palestinians. It must determine what steps need to be taken for their welfare. We will remain active in all initiatives that serve the interests of the Palestinian people. We want their liberation. We want them to live with dignity as human beings.”

The event was organized to express solidarity with Palestinians and protest against the ongoing Israeli attacks, which Quader condemned as barbaric.

The Jatiya Party chief also announced that a nationwide protest would be held on Sunday to show support for the people of Palestine.

Following the rally, a protest procession marched through key roads of the capital and concluded in front of the National Press Club.

The event was attended by Party Secretary General Md Mujibul Haque Chunnu and Presidium Members Mir Abdus Sabur Asud, Saifuddin Ahmed Milon, Md Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan, Imran Hossain Miah, Liaquat Hossain Khoka, Monirul Islam Milon, Arifur Rahman Khan, and Engineer Iqbal Hossain Taposh, among others.
