The CID personnel also recovered a computer, a pen drive and some Jihadi books from the possession of Sadikur Rahman Polas, 29, said Superintendent of Police Shamsul Alam at a press conference in the afternoon.
The SP said Sadikur Rahman, son of Md Shahjahan Ali of Andolpota village in the district, was a lecturer at Jhenaidah Government Norunnahar Women's College.
Sadikur was accused in a case filed under Anti-Terrorism act. Police earlier arrested him from Kataban in Dhaka in 2012, he said.
He also added that they had information that Sadikur was now involved in militancy.
