Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman and candidate for Rangpur-3 GM Quader expressed concern about the prevailing political unrest in Bangladesh, anticipating it to increase following the parliamentary election.
He emphasized that the unrest might escalate if the elections are not conducted fairly. GM Quader said this at a rally held at Kadamtali Chandipur Government Primary School ground in Rangpur on Thursday.
In his address, GM Quader strongly criticized Commerce Minister and Awami League candidate for Rangpur-4 Tipu Munshi, accusing him of failing to reduce the price of locally produced onions during his tenure.
He added: “Tipu Munshi, despite being the MP for 15 years, has not made any significant progress and has spoken disparagingly about the people in the area.”
GM Quader highlighted the peaceful environment during Jatiya Party's rule, emphasizing the absence of extortion, tender manipulation, and terrorism.
He claimed that there is no extortion where Jatiya Party MPs are present.
GM Quader, who participated in the election with trust in the government's promises, expressed dissatisfaction with the current situation.
Referring to alleged election rigging by Awami League, GM Quader urged people to vote for JaPa candidates and remove the "masked boat."
He asserted that there is no alliance or grand alliance with Awami League, disputing the claim of conceding 26 seats to Jatiya Party.
GM Quader urged the public to vote for JaPa candidates in Rangpur-3, Rangpur-4, Rangpur-5, and Rangpur-6 constituencies.
