Law enforcers have strengthened security in front of BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan.
The office was cordoned off by police using crime scene tape on Sunday morning.
The party has announced a down-to-dusk strike on Sunday.
However, even though the strike started, specially in front of the central office in Naya Paltan, the presence of the activists was not visible.
Members of the law and order forces are performing duties in that area. The front part of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan has been marked as a crime scene and barricaded by the police.
There are no leaders or activists in the office. This place is being examined by a team of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
No one will be allowed to enter here until the investigation is done, said police.
However, they are not saying anything before the investigation on the basis of which information; the area has been cordoned off with the crime scene tape.
Police have been deployed on the road in front of the BNP central office since Sunday morning.
The members of the force are active so that no untoward incident happens in the office area.
It is known that they are also investigating what kind of substance was used in front of the party office by their activists for the explosion. They collected evidence from there.
Meanwhile, two activists of the BNP were detained in front of the BNP’s office in the capital in the morning.
Eyewitnesses said that a team of Paltan police station arrested two people named Arman and Sajib in front of the office.
