BNP has announced a march program in all unions across Bangladesh on February 11, to press home their 10-point demand, including holding the next general election under a non-party caretaker government.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came up with the announcement of the fresh program while addressing a rally in front of the party's Naya Paltan central office on Saturday.

The party is also holding rallies in all other divisions of the country, protesting the hikes in power and gas prices and repression of the opposition leaders and activists.

Earlier, leaders and activists of the party's Dhaka north and south city units observed march program on January 28, 31, 30, and last Wednesday, respectively to push for their 10-point demand including the “restoration of democracy” in the country.

Apart from BNP, Ganatantra Mancha, an alliance of seven political parties, announced a march and mass campaign program across the country on February 11 to press home their 14-point demand, including the resignation of the Awami League government.

Saiful Haque, general secretary of Bangladesh-er Biplobi Workers Party, announced the fresh programs as part of the ongoing simultaneous movement from a rally in front of the National Press Club on Saturday.
