The opposition BNP's 160km road march in Khulna division began on Tuesday.
The road march is a part of their 15-day program to topple the government and hold the national polls under a caretaker government.
The road march began at around 10am from the Jhenaidah Bus Terminal area and will pass through Magura-Jessore-Nawapara-Phultala at Shibbari Zia chatter in Khulna.
BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas addressed the rally as the chief guest.
"We liberated the country for democracy, freedom of speech and economic freedom. We did not liberate the country for it to be ruled by a king or queen. Authoritarian fascist rule has been established in the country today,” he said while inaugurating the rally.

He added that he had to travel 2.5km to reach this event. “It looks like we're celebrating a pre-victory celebration. People across the country are emotional and excited today. On the other hand, the country's leader Khaleda Zia is suffering from health.”
Mirza Abbas further said: "I have told madam (Khaleda Zia) that people all over the country are worried for you. People will not forget what you have done for Bangladesh.”
