Jatiya Party (JaPa) has selected Md Nasir Uddin Sarkar as their candidate to contest the Dhaka 18 by-polls.
JaPa Chairman GM Quader picked Md Nasir Uddin Sarkar after interviewing prospective candidates, chairman’s Deputy Press Secretary Khandaker Delwar Jalali confirmed, reports Bangla Tribune.
Awami League selected Habib Hasan, while BNP picked SM Jahangir for Dhaka 18 by-polls.
Dhaka 18 seat became vacant after the demise of former minister and Awami League presidium member, Sahara Khatun.
The by-election of the constituency will be held on November 12 using electronic voting machines.
