An activist of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has been killed on Friday evening in front of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital by some unidentified men.
The deceased is Don Hasan, 28.
“Don was killed around 8pm ,” Sylhet Metropolitan Police’s Deputy Commission (media) Jedan Al Musa told the Dhaka Tribune.
"According to our information, he (Don) has been having some issues with local Chhatra League men over dominance in the locality.
“We detained three people over the murder. We will inform details after watching CCTV footage,” he added.
Police also recovered a sharp weapon and a shotgun, which might have been used in the killing.
