Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor has said that people who kill in the name of religion are monsters.
“Earlier people thought that only madrasa students are engaged with militant groups. But it was English medium students who killed 20 people in the Gulshan attack,” the minister said in Munshiganj Saturday.
“These people are not humans, they are demons. We do not want a society of demons but of humans,” he said at the golden jubilee programme of Sreenagar Pilot School.
He deplored that the students these days had got entangled in attending schools, doing home work and watching television.
Munshiganj 1 lawmaker Sukumar Ranjan Laskar was the special guest at the programme when Begum Aktari Momotaj, secretary of Public Service Commission, and Md Asadul Islam, secretary of the Youth and Sports Ministry, were present among others.
