Head teachers from several secondary schools in Louhajang upazila of Munshiganj visited the Bikrampur Museum on Friday, where they toured its collections highlighting the region's history, archaeology, folk heritage, culture, and historical artifacts.

According to a press release, the visiting educators praised the museum's preservation efforts and underscored the importance of museum visits in complementing classroom learning.

They said educational tours help students gain practical knowledge of history, culture, and heritage beyond textbooks while fostering greater interest in these subjects.

Bikrampur Museum Curator Nasir Uddin Ahmed welcomed the head teachers and said the museum plays an important role in introducing younger generations to the history and heritage of Bikrampur.

He called on schools in Louhajang and other educational institutions across Munshiganj district to organize regular educational tours to the museum.

Nasir said museums serve not only as repositories of historical artifacts but also as living records of a nation's history, culture, and civilization. He added that the museum's collections can help connect classroom learning with real-life historical knowledge and encourage research-oriented thinking among students.

He expressed hope that regular educational visits would help students develop a deeper understanding of Bikrampur's history and heritage while fostering greater awareness of their cultural identity.
