A delegation of Jatiya Party-led United National Alliance has sat for talks with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul about the upcoming general election.
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad is leading a 16-member delegation at the meeting that began around 11:20am on Wednesday at the Election Commission Bhaban in Dhaka’s Agargaon area.
Who are the participants?
Jatiya Party Co-Chairman GM Quader, Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, Presidium members Anisul Islam Mahmud, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, MA Sattar and Sunil Shubho Roy are among the delegation.
On the other hand, apart from the CEC, four other commissioners, and Election Commission Secretary Helal Uddin attended the meeting.
Talks with other parties
Earlier, the CEC held talks with Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh leaders and Dr Kamal Hossain-led-Jatiya Oikya Front.
The commission will announce election schedule on Thursday.
