Eminent jurist and chief of the newly formed Jatiya Oikya Front Dr Kamal Hossain has expressed satisfaction with the dialogue between the coalition and the Awami League-led 14-Party Alliance.
“The dialogue was fruitful and the prime minister assured us that we can sit for a dialogue again,” he said after the much anticipated dialogue on Thursday.
He added that they had placed their demands before the Awami League delegation, and meeting the demands was now depending on the ruling party. They could not arrive at a complete solution at the dialogue.
“Other leaders of Jatiya Oikya Front and I placed our demands and expressed our concerns over the present political situation,” Dr Kamal said.
He further said they had received assurances from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that the government would not bar Jatiya Oikya Front from holding any political programs. “The prime minister assured us that any party can arrange political programs, and they will not be barred.”
