Maulana Hafez Muhammad Zakaria, the Imam of Dhanmondi’s Baitul Aman Mosque, has passed away at the age of 70. He had been suffering from heart ailments.
His namaj-e-janaza was held at the Dhanmondi mosque, where he had led prayers for 38 years. He was later buried at the Azimpur graveyard.
Maulana Zakaria was survived by his wife and two sons.
