Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid has said that the President will administer the oath to the members of the new cabinet in accordance with the Constitution.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Saturday, he confirmed that all necessary preparations for the swearing-in ceremony have been completed by the Cabinet Division.
Responding to a question from journalists, the Cabinet Secretary stated that, under the existing constitution, President Mohammad Shahabuddin will administer the oath of office to the Prime Minister and the members of the new cabinet.
He further said that, following established practice, the ceremony will be held at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban. Representatives from various sectors of the society, along with senior leaders of different political parties, will attend the event as invited guests.
Approximately 1,000 guests are expected to be present at the ceremony.
President Mohammad Shahabuddin was appointed during the tenure of the Awami League government.
