A remarkable academic achievement has brought pride to Barguna as three triplet sisters from a family of teachers secured talent pool scholarships in the Primary Scholarship Examination.
The sisters—Annesha Halder, Ankita Halder, and Anushka Halder—were born together, studied in the same school, sat for the same examination, and have now achieved the same outstanding result. Their rare success has become a source of inspiration across the district.
The girls are daughters of Chinmoy Halder, a teacher at Gaurichanna Nawab Salimullah Secondary School, and Kajoli Rani, an assistant teacher at Government Primary School in Barguna. Raised in an education-focused family, the sisters developed disciplined study habits from an early age. According to their family, they regularly studied together, discussed lessons, corrected each other's mistakes, and encouraged one another instead of competing.
Their school also recorded an impressive performance in this year's scholarship examination. Of the 12 students who appeared, 11 earned scholarships, including seven in the Talent Pool category and four in the General Grade. However, the simultaneous success of the triplet sisters has attracted the greatest attention.
District Primary Education Office sources said that 758 students from six upazilas in Barguna received scholarships this year. Among them, 356 government primary students earned talent pool scholarships, while 363 secured general grade scholarships. In addition, 16 students from non-government schools received talent pool scholarships and 23 earned general grade scholarships.
Chinmoy Halder said the girls never needed pressure to study. "They always learned with curiosity and helped each other understand difficult lessons. They became one another's best teachers," he said.
Their class teacher described the sisters as attentive, disciplined, and hardworking, while the headteacher called their achievement a memorable milestone in the school's history.
School Managing Committee President Abdul Wasi Matin said the sisters' success is not only a matter of pride for the school but also an inspiring example for future generations across Barguna.
