A youth was stabbed to death following previous enmity in Mohanpur upazila of Rajshahi on Sunday afternoon.
The incident took place around 4:00 pm at the Berabari Dighi intersection in the upazila.
The victim was identified as Md Sabbir, 21, son of Alamgir Hossain of Berabari village.
According to police and local sources, Sabbir was attacked by assailants and stabbed reportedly over previous disputes. He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the emergency department of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty physician declared him dead at approximately 6:00 pm.
His body has been kept at the hospital morgue for further procedures.
Family members of the victim alleged that two individuals were involved in the attack, including the son of a former union chairman from the village.
Sub-Inspector of Mohanpur Polish Station Modassar Hossain Khan said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those responsible. No case has been filed so far,” he added.
